Overview

We engineer heat before we build steel.

Fired heaters are the largest consumers of fuel in any refinery — and the hardest unit to get right. Thermal efficiency, heat-flux distribution, run length, NOx performance, and mechanical integrity all converge in a single piece of equipment. Getting that right is engineering, not fabrication.

Esteem has built its reputation as India's heat transfer authority by owning that engineering end-to-end. Our proprietary WinHeat® thermal rating engine — in continuous development since the 1990s — sits behind every heater we deliver, supported by in-house CFD and FEA. That depth is why refiners trust us with the units that can't fail.

We deliver full lump-sum turnkey scope: process and thermal design, structural and mechanical engineering, fabrication from our ASME U+S Stamp shop in Baddi (75m × 30m) and our Indrad shop (2,600 m²), modular transport, site erection, and pre-commissioning through handover. One accountable partner from datasheet to steam.

We execute for owner companies directly and work alongside major licensors — Linde, CB&I Lummus, Chevron Lummus, Technip KT — as peer execution partners. Not as a subcontractor. We sit at the API table and help write the rules.

Credentials

The rulebook, the shop, and the approvals.

We are not a build-to-print supplier. We are co-authors of the standards our peers design to.

API authority

Active API member. Co-authoring API 561 — the new global standard for SMR furnaces. Contributing to API 560 (fired heaters) and API 936 (refractory).

EIL-enlisted

Enlisted with Engineers India Limited for Fired Heaters and Modularization Packages (heaters + pipe racks) — the Indian consulting authority for refinery project execution.

Shop credentials

Baddi (75m × 30m, ASME U-Stamp + S-Stamp, IBR, in-house refractory / painting / NDT) and Indrad (2,600 m²) — two controlled-environment shops with EOT cranes and modular dispatch.

Shop-built · Field-installed

Refractory-lined, dried-out modules dispatched from Baddi and Indrad

Modular fabrication

Built indoors. Trucked in. Installed in days, not months.

Our EIL-enlisted modularization capability lets us shop-build complete radiant sections, convection modules, and arbors under controlled conditions — refractory-lined and dried out — then ship and lift them into place on site.

That shifts risk off the critical path: welding under the BPCL Mahul VDU convection replacement was completed one module per day without removing the stack. IGL Kashipur received a VC heater dispatched as three convection modules. IOCL Bongaigaon's DCU was modular-fabricated at our shop for a 35-day shutdown window.

Modular delivery is an engineering decision, not a sales pitch. We apply it where transport splits, lift plans, and battery-limit discipline actually save the schedule.
