An Acetic Anhydride project usually involves two different companies: a process licensor who owns the technology and charges royalty, and an EPC contractor who builds the plant. Esteem is both. We own the process, we own the engineering package, we own the fabrication shops, and we commission the plant. One signature, one accountability line.

Acetic Anhydride is the reagent of choice for acetylation chemistry. Demand is driven by pharma, cellulose acetate, specialty chemicals, and the paper industry — a stable base load with growth tied to pharma capacity expansion.
Acetic Anhydride is the workhorse reagent of acetylation chemistry — aspirin, paracetamol intermediates, and a wide range of acetylated active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Films, textile fiber, and cigarette filter tow — all derived from cellulose acetylated with Anhydride.
Sorbic acid, alkyl ketene dimers, acetyl chloride, and other intermediates for downstream chemicals producers.
Alkyl Ketene Dimers (AKDs) for paper water resistance — a large and steady end market for Anhydride derivatives.
The Ketene Furnace — the plant's most severe-service unit — is designed in WinHeat®, our proprietary thermal rating engine under continuous development since the 1990s. CFD is used to verify tube-skin uniformity and eliminate hot spots. FEA confirms mechanical integrity under thermal cycling.
This is not third-party engineering wrapped around a licensed process. It is our own process, engineered in our own tools, by the same team that guarantees plant performance.
